Gezellig by Gayle Forman

Gezellig is an untranslatable Dutch word meaning cozy, which is both the point and the opposite of social networking. It is also the name of YA author Gayle Forman's tumblr. Bonus points for correct pronunciation.

Turning Pages review of my short story for One Teen Story
"The Deadline, written by Gayle Forman, is a short story that everyone can relate to. It is about a high-schooler named Mags who has been pining for the bad boy of the school, Grant Scott. It all starts when she discovers that they share a common interest of poetry. Unfortunately, Grant is the kind of boy who only dates the popular girls, especially the ones whose names end in “i” and his only interaction with Mags is when he is sharing his poetry with her and when he is in between girlfriends. But when Mags finally decides she needs to do something about her feelings, she gives herself a month, a deadline, to finally tell Grant how she feels. If something doesn’t happen between her and Grant by the time a month is over, she will forget all about him.  Will Mags meet her deadline? “
